About Us

The ACM – the Association for Computing Machinery – is an international organization dedicated to promoting computing as a profession. The student chapter of the ACM at YSU’s goal is to extend those same goals to YSU students interested in computing.

YSU ACM

Youngstown State University’s student branch of the ACM is a club that promotes the ACM’s mission. The ACM hosts meetings every other Wednesday during the semester as well as tech talks and other events. Membership of the Main ACM is not required to participate in the YSU ACM.

The ACM wishes to extend its members’ involvement in their community. If you have an event that the ACM may be interested in, please contact an officer. The ACM has supported programming competitions, hackathons, math competitions, speakers, and more, and we look forward to supporting more events in the future.

Main ACM

The Main ACM is the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society. It delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. ACM provides the computing field‘s premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources. Becoming an official member of the main ACM as a students costs $19, but has many benefits.
